Rosa das rosas (Rose of roses)

Lyrics: Alfonso X O Sabio

Adaptation of the lyrics: Carlos and Fran Amil

Music: Fran and Carlos Amil

Alfonso X El Sabio is projected from the thirteenth century to the present day with a masterpiece such as “Cantigas de Santa María”. These cantigas are one of the most important collections of monophonic song in Western medieval literature. In music, monophony or monody is the simplest texture, consisting of a single melodic line without any musical accompaniment.

You can take a look at this interesting article, which expands our knowledge about this literary-musical marvel

Our tribute takes the form of fusion between Latin airs and even rap in search of a rhythm that makes people dance. Praise.
