We start with the lyrics of “A voz do vento”

Once the lyrics in GalicianSpanish and English for the album “Popsia Vol. I” have been completed, we begin with the lyrics for the album “A voz do vento”.

This album is entirely dedicated to songs derived from the poems of Manuel María, commissioned by A Mesa Pola Normalización Lingüística to bring the Terra Cha poet closer to youth.

The album was published in February 2016, coinciding with the dedication of the Día das Letras Galegas (Galician Literature Day) to Manuel María that same year.

With a beautiful cover drawn by the artist from Coruña, Jano, and an illustration of each song also by Jano, the album had the support of such outstanding musicians as Paco Cerdeira on electric guitar, Álex Bardanca on bass, Aarón Bouzón in the EWI 4000 and keyboards and Ricardo “Richi” Casás in the winds (alto, tenor and soprano saxophones, trumpet and bass clarinet). The musical production and the mixes were mine and Paco Cerdeira’s, the mastering by Chou, and the musical direction was also mine. It was recorded at the Amil Studios, and featured well-known Galician song voices singing with me, such as Jasper in “Hai que dicir semper non”, Paula Romero in “”Non temos escolas en galego”, Antón Díaz in “Alleado”, Xurxo Souto in “Agora que gastei os meus outonos”, Belém Tajes in “Aínda teño a esperanza”, O Leo in “Forasteiro” and in “A nosa historia”, M.J. Pérez in “Poceiras”, and Xosé Antón Bocixa in “Nós somos como o aceiro”.

It was a joy for me to be able to bring together so much Galician talent, and I think the occasion was worth it.
